ND-GAIN at Paris COP21

ND-GAIN brought our mission of enhancing the world’s understanding of adaptation through knowledge, products and services that inform public and private actions and investments in vulnerable communities to the Paris Climate Talks, COP21

In response to the Paris Agreement, ND-GAIN developed a one-pager to highlight the correlation between the Agreement and research at the Notre Dame Environmental Change Initiative.

We also worked with the UN Environment Programme, in collaboration with the UN Global Compact and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change on their Caring for Climate Initative, as an editor and contributor to The Business Case for Responsible Corporate Adaptation report.

At COP21, ND-GAIN Managing Director, Joyce Coffee participated in the Caring for Climate Business Forum session, "What is the Business Case for Corporate Climate Adaptation?" with private sector stakeholders.

ND-GAIN also joined PwC's sustainability directors to discuss what is new and what is next in climate adaptation.

In advance of COP21, ND-GAIN provided guidance to the UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee's Technology needs assessment, particularly the technology action plans.
